I’m excited about the new Game of Thrones game by Telltale Games. It branches off from the show, mixing in between Seasons 3 and the upcoming Season 5. It features a lesser-known House only heard about (briefly) in the books. It has all new characters and returning cast from the show. After so many failed attempts at making a game set in the world of Westeros, We’re on the precipice of Telltale possibly getting us there.
To get us started, however, the developer has given us the game’s debut trailer, more so than the teaser from a couple weeks back. This one is ominous. This one tells us war and death and fear are coming. To perpetuate the mood, there’s a sort of oil-painting art style and music inspired by the show mixed together to reflect an aged, medieval, musty time.
