Following a trailer leak earlier today, Crytek and Deep Silver officially announced Homefront: The Revolution, sequel to the lackluster Homefront that dropped back in 2011. This time we find ourselves tasked with igniting “the second American Revolution from the birthplace of American Liberty itself: Philadelphia” to push back against North Korean occupiers.
It’s a strange game to try to make a franchise out of, that’s for sure, especially considering the reception the first outing got. The trailer looks nice, though, so maybe there’s something to it.
The game’s set hit PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC next year.
