There’s still no firm launch date for Bayonetta 2 beyond “later this year”, but fans have a lot to look forward to, if the latest trailer has anything to say about it. During it’s Nintendo Direct presentation today, Nintendo’s Satoru Iwata showed off a new trailer and gameplay video for the upcoming title.
The game revolves around the war between the Umbra Witches and the Lumen Sages, which begins 500 years prior to the game. The bosses look bossier, the monsters look more monstrous, and the hair is still chopped, but the real magic may be in the game’s special moves. Our favorite: Umbran Climax. Yes, it sounds like a move that Sting pulls during his regular sexcapades, but in reality it brings down the thunder by unleashing a massive stored-energy super move.
Whatever the special moves are called, the game still looks fairly bad ass. And it’s greatly uncomfortable listening to Iwata try to explain the game’s moves, like an uncle telling you about the birds and bees.
