A day before the opening of CES 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada, SteelSeries has come out to announce a couple of new products for gamers to be excited about. Their theme for this year is all about wirelessness, apparently.
First up is the SteelSeries Stratus Wireless Gaming Controller, a console-style controller that connects to your iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch for iOS 7 gaming.
The Stratus Controller has a familiar console-style layout with a pressure-sensitive D-Pad, 4 pressure-sensitive action buttons and 4 pressure-sensitive should buttons, in addition to dual analog sticks and a dedicated pairing button to connect.
With the controller the way it is, iOS developers can create games that use traditional console control schemes to provide for an immersive and challenging gaming experience. But, you may need to find a pocket to carry this around in since iOS controllers aren’t really all that portable.
Along with the Status Controller, SteelSeries is introducing the SteelSeries Sensei Wireless Mouse. (Yes, I know. The Sensei is already out as a wired mouse. This is the first time that SteelSeries is releasing the mouse wirelessly.)
The SteelSeries Sensei Wireless comes with a new laser sensor featuring configurable CPI adjustment to 8200, while the battery life allows for 20 hours of continuous wireless play. Don’t worry your little head, you can still plug the mouse in using the USB wire to charge and play at the same time. It has brand new SteelSeries Switches that boast a 30 million click lifespan, on-board profile storage with SteelSeries Exact Features (Aim, Accel, Lift, Angle Snapping), and 16.8 million illuminated color options for both the mouse and a very sleek sandblasted steel charging base.
