Do you like to talk about games? Write about games? Do videos about games?
Well, guess what? SideQuesting is looking for fresh perspectives!
We’re just about always open to writers penning pieces for the site, and many come on for regular features or staff membership. We know you need an outlet for your thoughts, and perhaps some pointers on your work, improving your industry networking, and getting you some exposure. Many of our staff and contributors have gone on to bigger gigs. Alumni include Joystiq’s Jordan Mallory, TUAW’s Mike Wehner, Polygon’s Jenna Pitcher, freelancer extraordinaire Alex Rubens, and Pixel Enemy’s Tyler Colp, among others.
Think of us as a sort of “Minor League Team” for many a popular video game website. And we want you aboard.
Some basics:
We’re a volunteer site. None of us are paid. The little money that does come in goes right back into things like our hosting and shipping costs. But, what we CAN offer are things like review code (we love reviewing games!), access to conferences and expos, interviews and networking with game developers and other journalists, and invitation to fun and epic SideQuesting get-togethers.
If you’re interested, drop me a line at dali [at] sidequesting [dot] com and let me know! Have a couple links to your work available if possible, as we’re going to try and make sure we get people who are not only a good fit for the site, but also to make sure the site is a right fit for them.
