We knew an announcement was coming soon, we just didn’t know when. After weeks of staying quiet, Microsoft revealed the launch date of the Xbox One this morning, setting it at November 22nd in the US, and November 29th in Europe. The first 13 markets to launch this year are: Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, UK, and the USA
In the US, the console will launch at $499.99 and land a week before the shopaholic’s holiday of Black Friday. Though, there’s a fairly good chance that you won’t get one until some point in December if you haven’t preordered it. Microsoft also announced that it increased production to meet preorder numbers, but made no mention of regular stock. While some will be available, it’ll most likely be sporadic through the holidays. Get in line now, essentially.
