Closing the show for Microsoft was a first look at the game by Respawn Entertainment, Titanfall. Titanfall is a first-person shooter featuring mechs which can be called into battle by players. Respawn’s studio was put together by a group of former Infinity Ward developers, famous for creating the Call Of Duty franchise. During the gameplay reveal character movement seemed to mimic that of Call of Duty’s, but players were able to run along walls, jetpack jump into higher locations and movements seemed faster and more fluid overall.
Mech gameplay appeared to be just a little slower, but allowed for quick twitch movements and what appeared to be special abilities (a sort of force ability to stop bullets and send them flying back at an enemy mech). The game will be available for Xbox One, 360 and PC.
