Popping up across Twitter and other social media outlets this morning, ahead of the debut of the next Xbox this afternoon, are personal retrospectives from gamers with fond (or not-so) memories of the Xbox and Xbox 360.
Fans have taken to using #XboxMemories to chat about their experiences, much like the #PlaystationMemories hashtag did three months ago. There have been some really funny tweets relating to memories of the Xbox. I’m finding the comedic aspect to be pretty great.
My own personal one: Buying my brother an original Xbox for his birthday, and watching him (in horror) fry it and the entire circuit board of a hotel he was staying at in Germany. Because he didn’t realize the power requirements were different. Ah well, that was $200 I’ll never get back. Jerky jerkface.
