Make it back-to-back years now that one of my beloved Detroit Lions has graced the cover of Madden. The Greatest Ever runningback, Barry Sanders, beat Minnesota’s Adrian Peterson handily last night, scoring 58% of the vote to AP’s 42%. Thankfully so, since John and I made a nice gentleman’s bet last night. I think this New Era Draft Cap hat would look nice.
“The Lions have been cursed for years,” is what any Detroit fan will tell you. Perhaps now, after back-to-back cover boys in last year’s Calvin Johnson and Sanders this year, the Detroit curse might actually break.
Here’s hoping. I just bought season tickets.
