Unlike its set of hooded assassins, Ubisoft can’t seem to keep a secret.
Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag will launch Oct. 29, 2013 on the PC, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Xbox 360, and is “coming to next-gen consoles,” presumably the PlayStation 4 and the next Xbox, according to a page on the game’s official website, found by Gaming Everything.
The page, now unreachable, appears to be what’s hidden behind a countdown timer that ends Monday, March 4. A piece of artwork was viewable (below), but the world premier trailer was not.
Those who pre-order the game will receive a “collectible Todd McFarlane poster,” likely the same poster leaked to Kotaku on Tuesday.
Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag features a new protagonist, previously reported to be Edward Kenway, father of Haytham Kenway from Assassin’s Creed 3, and takes place in a pirate-infested Caribbean.
The PlayStation 3 version of the game will include “60 minutes of exclusive gameplay.”
Gaming press have seen the game in action and will have more information next Monday.
