The PlayStation 4 Revealed
With the Sony PlayStation 4 reveal finally over, the next gen race between Microsoft and Sony is now in full effect. Sony’s opening volley focused heavily on the game streaming ability baked into the new PS4 thanks to their purchase of Gaikai. The added functionality will allow gamers to stream game trials instead of downloading large demo files as well as provide backwards compatibility for PlayStation 1, 2 and 3 titles.

After detailing the transition from the Cell processor to an x86 based architecture, Sony trotted out a number of developers to showcase some of the eye candy that is currently being developed for the new platform. The roundup included trailers for inFAMOUS: Second Son, Deep Down (working title), Killzone: Shadow Fall, Knack, and an Unreal Engine 4 demo. Sony closed the show with an official announcement of Diablo III coming to consoles and exclusive Destiny content for the PS4.
