Moon Director Signed To World of Warcraft Movie

Like this, but a movie?

Duncan Jones, director of sci-fi hit/Kevin Spacey jam Moon, was signed to direct Legendary Picture’s adaptation of World of Warcraft, according to “The Hollywood Reporter.” Sam Raimi, of Spider-Man and Evil Dead fame was previously attached to direct, but dropped out instead to direct Oz: The Great and Powerful, because, man, that sounds like a way better idea, right? “The Hollywood Reporter” lists the names of all the other producers and such, but the real important thing for WoW fans is that Chris Metzen will also be producing. Metzen, if you’re not a WoW veteran, is the Vice President of Creative Development at Blizzard, and has been working on Warcraft since before Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness. Now, since this project was first announced way back in 2006, let’s hope Jones’ involvement can finally get this thing off the ground.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist Removing Torture Scene

Wilson tried to downplay the apparent action focus the E3 trailer seemed to suggest, saying the nature of such an event made it hard to showcase the nonlethal, stealthier options for the game.
