New Assassin’s Creed 3 Trailer Repaints History
A new trailer from Ubisoft today gives a brief history lesson about the Boston Tea Party in the form of a 3D motion-painting. After giving a short explanation of the events leading up to the infamous protest that added fuel to the fire of America’s imminent revolution, the narrator decides to cut the crap and give it to you straight. All that stuff he just said and you learned in history class? That’s just what The Man wants you to believe, man! Truth is there was some crazy Templar vs. Assassin conspiracy! Surprise!

NBA Live 13 Misses Goal, Canceled by EA
EA won’t be able to slam dunk a field goal with NBA Live 13 this year because, as Executive Vice President of EA Sports Andrew Wilson said in a press release, the basket-hoops simulator is canceled. Wilson cites a commitment to quality as the primary reason for the game’s cancelation, saying it would not be up to EA Sports’ standards if they kept the October release date. “And rather than launch midway through the season, we’re going to sit out the full year and stay focused on making next year’s game great,” said Wilson. Here’s hoping they can come back and make next year’s release a real hat-trick!

Nuclear Family irradiating onto Xbox 360’s this October
In a press release today, SyFy Digital announced a new entirely original show, Nuclear Family, will be premiering exclusively on Xbox 360 on October 1. The new series will be accessible through the SyFy app on the Xbox Live Marketplace, and will release on other digital platforms October 15. The show sounds pretty standard, the bad guy is literally called “The Man”, but this is still kind of a huge deal, it’s exactly the kind of thing Microsoft has been pushing for to make the 360 the center of a household’s entertainment, and this announcement seems emblematic of the platform’s future.

Day Z stand-alone release coming ‘before the end of the year’
Speaking at the Eurogamer Expo today, Day Z creator Dean Hall promised that an alpha release of the game’s standalone version would be out sometime before the end of the year. “It has to be out before the end of the year,” said Hall. Hall was not forthcoming with details of what the release would entail, with the expressed intent of stopping copycats. If you ask us, that is a damn shame, Day Z is an incredibly unique and exciting experience, and it’s not cool for app-store-esque clones to be profiting of Halls idea. Whatever the alpha release includes, we hope it allos for an endless amount of “No Guys”
