I’ve always wanted to call Cartman a fat ass, or make fun of his whorish mother. Thankfully, the team behind South Park: The Stick of Truth think the same way, as they’ve announced full Kinect voice recognition in the upcoming game.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone took the stage at Microsoft’s E3 press conference today to discuss the game and debut new footage and details. In Stick of Truth, players create their own character, taking them into the Denver town in hopes of becoming the “fifth of the four boys”. The quest plans on being epic, with RPG and action elements. With such a larger scale project, Stone and Parker spoke to how this was the first time they had ever had to sit down and plan the entire town and its surroundings, mapping everything thoroughly. Players will be able to dress up their characters and teammates with costumes, goth outfits, and more.

You know what really gets us off, though? Being able to use the Kinect to yell and swear at the characters and enemies on the screen, with various responses. It’s a little thing, but could go a long way. Especially at 11:30 at night when my wife is asleep and I’m screaming profanities at my television screen.

South Park: The Stick of Truth launches on March 5, 2013 across Xbox, PS3, and PC, with DLC coming first to Xbox 360.
