Forza may have wrested the racing crown from Gran Turismo, but it’s not resting on its laurels. Less than 2 years after the release of the amazing Forza 4, Turn 10 Studios and developer Playground Games are bringing Forza Horizon to the masses. The game, an “open-road” simulator, is meant to be less raceway and more highway. While details are still scant (the game hasn’t had much promotion in way of news since its March reveal to press) we can now get a sense for what the roadventure might be like.
This morning Microsoft, the game’s publisher, revealed the box art for the game. Gracing the cover is the brand-spanking new SRT (formerly Dodge) Viper, which was just revealed last month itself. The cover depicts the Viper on a decidedly American desert roadway, and is echoed in the first screenshot, which was also unleashed today.
As a massive fan of Forza I’m pretty freakin’ excited. We’ll find out more in just a couple fo weeks at E3, but I’ll begin getting in line right….. now!
