I woke up this morning to find out that I hadn’t won the $363 million Mega Millions jackpot. I was instantly saddened.
Then, I saw that no one had won it, and that the jackpot had reached a record $476 million for Friday’s drawing, which will surely surge to over HALF A BILLION DOLLARS by then. The chances of you or I winning it alone are about 1 in infinity, but with so many people trying their luck this week we’re almost guaranteed to have multiple winners (of smaller amounts, of course).
So I got to thinking: What the heck would I do with all that mad loot? Buying cars, traveling the world, and going on a vajazzling spree are a given, but what else? What could I do with video games?
Then I decided to come up with a list, because that’s what the Internet asks us to do when optimal SEO situations like this arise.
I could:
Instantly Kickstart several indie gaming projects
Buy Vox Games, rename it “Xov Games”, and force the staff to include the word “fluffy” in every post
FIX MEGA MAN
Host an annual “Game Designer Olympics”, with triple jumps and jousting
Let Shigeru Miyamoto do whatever he wants, because he’s just the best
Fly Mass Effect 3 into space, and leave it there.
Okay, some of those are a little more outlandish, but there could very well be some cool things you can do with so much cash. What say you, readers? What would YOU do for the gaming world with half a billion dollars?
Note: We’ll be watching the #gamelottery hashtag on Twitter all day and post some of our favorites in the morning.
