Best of 2011 Witcher 2

Based on the bestselling series of Polish fantasy novels, the Witcher games follow the man-turned-mutant Geralt of Rivia after the events of Andrzej Sapkowski’s final book. There is no medium finer at crafting intriguing, organic worlds than video games. And you would be hard-pressed to find a game that does it better than The Witcher 2. From character’s that feel honest and sympathetic to an environment that feels well lived-in, The Witcher 2 delivers on all the promise of interactive entertainment.

The game can be punishing at times, but the challenge only serves to make the player’s every move feel as though it has weight and meaning. Entire storylines can be lost, found, forgotten or changed completely depending on the choices made over the course of the impressively mature and envelope-pushing campaign.
