If you haven’t heard about the Japan Institute of Science and Technology by now, we won’t blame you. We haven’t either.
Until, of course, they decided to test out their quantum levitation studies by recreating a fully-functioning miniature scale Wipeout track. The “cars” are wirelessly-controlled on the course, zipping around corner with minimal effort, all while hovering almost magically in the air.
Only half-jokingly do they suggest working on futuristic motorsports, but we certainly think there is opportunity for some real-world F-Zero action. Let’s hope this is “for realz”, and not “for fakez”.
