That banner reads true: SideQuesting is looking for more writers! Well, we’re always looking for writers, but since we’ve relaunched the site it’s high time that we fill in some of the spots that are open.
With the broadening of the site’s scope to include more general geekery, we’d love to see some fresh voices. While the day-to-day work on the site doesn’t pay (yet), we DO pay for feature content (please ask when applying, if interested), which the regular staff always has first dibs on. We have a variety of positions open, so send along an email telling us why you’d like to write for the site, and links to two articles/pieces/reviews you’ve written to: sidequesting at gmail dot com.
We offer a lot of visibility, with several of our writers having moved on to regular paying gigs at bigger publications. We also offer admittance to conferences and expos, review opportunities, movie screenings, and more.
We’re looking for people who already have a basic knowledge of writing, or are hungry enough to learn and be molded by some of the rowdiest folks on the web. You also need to be enjoyable to be around, and a beer-drinker (if you’re 21 yrs of age or older)… preferably.
