Robert Mangaoang is a graphic designer, music producer and artist, with a passion for games. All this month, he’s been sketching a zombie version of a video game character, pop star, or other well-known person/thing/Pokemon. Via his blog, he’s been posting the images and speed-paintings (videos of a painting being created, played back at double- or triple-speed).
His most recent few caught our eye: a zombie Ryu and a zombie Pikachu. The digital images are created by first sketching them (via Prismacolor pencil) on paper, scanning them into Photoshop, and using a Wacom tablet to sketch and finish them. It’s the proper mix of analog and digital convergence that makes the artist in me giggle with brain-hungry glee.
