If I recall correctly, Fable II just came out last year. We heard rumblings very early this year (as in January) that Fable III was already in the works. “It’s too soon,” you might say. Not so! Today at Gamescon Lionhead announced Fable III will be arriving in the barren holiday 2010 timeframe.
But then, what if Peter Molyneaux’s initial scope of Fable II was so big that it couldn’t be contained on on DVD..? What if the story of Fable II was actually much more “legacy”-like than what we initially thought? So then I say, “Yes, Fable III is a natural fit to be released in 2010… for those that have played Fable II.” Could the scope of Fable III, in which the lead character is the child of Fable II’s protagonist leading a revolution against the kingdom, have been contained in DLC?
We’ll find out soon enough. And, it’s about time I update my Goozex cue to include Fable II, eh?
