We all knew that Fallout 3 was a game ripe for a sequel. Bethesda, the marketing and product development geniuses that they are, agree with us. Announced today during a press event in London, Fallout: New Vegas will be making its way onto our PCs, PS3s, and XBox 360s sometime in 2010. While not a true sequel, F:NV takes place during the same time period as F3, only in the setting of New Vegas. Our educated guess is that New Vegas has something to do with Las Vegas… call us crazy!
The game is being developed by Obsidian Entertainment, which includes some of the same chaps that developed the first Fallout game.
No other information on the game was available at the time of this post, but if it plays anything like F3 count me in as a sucker willing to give up another round of $60 to Bethesda’s version of the GTAIII/Vice City/San Andreas series, minus the pimp-slapping.
However, it DOES take place in Vegas, so who knows.
