Surgent Studios’ Abubakar Salim reveals the emotions behind the game
Next week, Surgent Studios’ debut game Tales of Kenzera: ZAU arrives across storefronts, and its creator, Abubakar Salim, has shared a short film about the story behind the game’s creation.
After suffering the loss of a loved one, Salim faced emotional struggles, forcing him across a spectrum of emotions as his life was turned upside down. The film explores that struggle, and how he developed the game as a way to begin to heal. The film was produced alongside Ridley Scott Associates and features moments across the last year, including Salim’s Game Awards appearance.
Tales of Kenzera: ZAU launches on April 23rd on all platforms. Check out the launch trailer below.
