There are a lot of doctors in geek culture, even though Dr. Strange, Dr. Evil and Doctor Who may be the most well known. Dr. Fate (or Doctor Fate, or just fate) is a DC Comics character that has been out of the public eye for a while, having debuted way back in 1940. The spellcaster was known for his Justice Society of America battles back then.
Well, he’s back! The character will be appearing in Injustice 2 from NetherRealm Studios, the company announced today in a reveal trailer. He looks to retain many of the powers that made him a formidable opponent in the comic books. With Injustice 2’s roster growing more every week, and pulling in some of the lesser-known DC characters, it’s been a rebirth for a side of DC that many don’t often see.
Injustice 2 is due May 16, 2017 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
