That’s the date we have for Halo: Nightfall, the prequel feature to Halo 5 from Ridley Scott. The film will serve as an origin story for Agent Jameson Locke, who will also be playable in Halo 5 alongside Master Chief.

All of this was revealed during today’s Halo panel at SDCC, where 343’s Frank O’Connor further teased more information to be revealed next year at SDCC 2015. People are already getting in line now for that panel.
